Very pleased with the Big Wrench

Post by John Fox »

Happy to say I received my 12/28/08 order of two wrenches on 01/04/09. Carl was quick and cordial, and it couldn't have been easier to contact him and set this up. I don't think he waited for my check; he trusted me on it. That kind of respect is special.

This tool is bigger than I thought it would be, and really easy to work with. It's twice the diameter of my previous wrench. I'm giving the second one to my teacher.

I appreciate the many notes here coming from satisfied customers, which notes got me interested. It was good to hear that some keyless guitars will benefit from the wrench, and also that it may help people with some disability.

I also found it interesting that the wrench works with some zithers. My autoharp wrench might work, but I don't think it has a great advantage. I think those tuning pegs are smaller.

The Wheel design is compact, while the autoharp's wrench has a wooden handle and the driving end of the shaft is bent perpendicular to the wood. Like a miniature piano wrench. Might help people with a need for even more leverage...

That's a tangent, when I meant to say how much I like the Big Wrench. Just trying to offer my two cents. I don't see how you can go wrong working with Carl Williams on this. :D

"BIG" Tuning Wrench

Post by jay thompson »

Received my "BIG" tuning wrench yesterday. Good machining. Looks and works very well. The broach seems to be deeper than some of the other tuning wrenches that I have, and it stays on the nylon nut well. Best regards, Jay Thompson

Hello Jay,
Your kind words are very much appreciated! :) As I've said many times, until you have this wrench in your hand, you just don't know how much difference it makes...The 1.5" diameter knob allows for better feel and leverage. The positive feedback is now a matter of record and I'm having a ball with it!Thanks again for the business and support...Carl
