Now that peavey has abandoned the profex platform, has anyone tried the digitech gsp 1101 ? I am thinking about putting a rack system together for steel and wondered if anybody else had any suggestions. I am currently using the rp100 in front of my amp now and dig the tone that I get from that....but I am a rack guy at heart.

I picked one up from Guitar Center and tried it yesterday. Took it right back. Granted I was looking for something that I could use to record direct with that would sound better than a POD. It didn't.

I love mine so much that I have 3: one in a rack with a Stewart World 600, one in a combo case with a 300W plate amp and one for sale. If you like the tone of earlier Digitech, you will like this. It is easier to program than most competitive products, sounds great, has a strobe tuner, can be edited on your PC using a USB cable. And I have had most at one time or another.
