Hey Guys. Got a Session 500 and I am looking for a starting place to set the dials. If you have one of these please take a look at it and let me know how yours is set. Pictures would be great!

Gain 3 1/2 to 4 Low +15 Para -3 Shift 800 High -3 Pres +1 Post Gain 3+ Rev 3 to 4
I no longer have the 500 but these were what I used, at the time. What a tone. Hope these work for you.

low 14
paramid -15
shift 800
high -6
presence -3
post gain 3
reverb 2

Remember to turn the 'string effect' and 'phase' off

I had a Session 500 (one of the original small cabinet moldels) that I used for 15 years and my right arm is longer to prove it Laughing

My settings, that I used with a PP Emmons and with my Franklin are about the same as the settings I use on my Nashville 1000 and 112. Low +9, Mid -3, Shift 800Hz, High and Presence generally around 0 depending on how new the strings are.

I also agree that it's a great Steel amp, maybe the best Steel amp that Peavey made. I didn't think the "string" effect was all that great but the chorus is one of the best I've used. Fiddle players liked them too.
