Sho-Bud and Sho-Bro

Post by Terry Miller »

Merry Christmas all,

Here is one my son wrote. We recorded it the other day. It features Brad on the tele and me on my old Sho-Bud steel and my really old Sho-Bro jumbo sized dobro guitar that Shot Jackson built for me when I was a kid! I hope you like the song.

Happy Holidays,
Terry Miller

That's perfect!!! My kind of music. BTW, are you the Terry Miller that Donna Darlene told me about. She says that a player by the name of Terry Miller has Shot's dobro style down exactly like he played. Sound's like it to me.
I dont know Donna personally, I'm just a big fan of her and Shot. I never met Shot, but I contacted Donna when I was playing on the road and was in Nashville. She invited me out to her house when I was getting info for the unofficial ShoBud web page. She's a very nice and wonderful person. Wish that I would have known Shot. Anyway thanks for the great music. Duane Becker

Duane I am most likely the the same.Shot took me under his wing when I was about 15. I admired Shot very much, he did a lot for me and I saw what he did for so many others expecting nothing in return. I will never be able to play like Shot. No one can play with the same emotion that someone else has. But it sure is fun to try. Thanks for your reply. I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a great New Year. BTW I try to stay in touch with Donna on a regular basis, a great lady. Terry

Thanks Bernie, I am very impressed with Brads writing. We've had a couple of gospel cuts. I hope it helps to open a few doors. Happy New Year to you also. Terry
