A few weeks ago, I went to see a Southern Gospel group from my area. "Legacy" is a group made up of guys I have known for years, but haven't seem them together in this group. I was immediately impressed with the fact that they used a full live band,NO SOUND TRACKS. Piano, Bass, Drums, and pedal steel. The steel player is Gene Dawson and this was his second program with his new GFI Ultra. Gene is both talented and tasteful and the GFI really sounded great. If you are in Eastern North Carolina and get a chance, see this group. It's not only good as a music and vocal event, but also very inspirational. They are truly on a mission. Oh yea, nice bus!
Thanks,

Good for them. I saw a gospel concert awhile back and about ten or so top professional groups and no bands....all singing with tracks. There was nothing inspirational about that to me. In fact, it was a jopke as far as I was concerned. I left pretty quick. No interest whatsoever. |

Jason Crabb, formerly of the Crabb family, was at our church a couple of weeks ago. He had a live band, but no steel guitar. The band was fantastic, piano, guitar, drums, and a lady bass player, all great musicians. _________________ Darvin Willhoite
MSA Millennium, Legend, and Studio Pro, Reese's restored Universal Direction guitar, a restored MSA Classic SS, several amps, new and old, and a Kemper Powerhead that I am really liking. Also a Zum D10, a Mullen RP, and a restored Rose S10, named the "Blue Bird". Also, I have acquired and restored the plexiglass D10 MSA Classic that was built as a demo in the early '70s. I also have a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks, and a showroom condition Sho-Bud Super Pro. |
