At first I wondered what was on his left knee in the first clip... Then to my embarrassment, I recalled when I first started playing. I was so nervous, my hands would prespire and to dry them, I kept a cloth diaper on my left knee. Kids were around in those days and it was BDD (before disposable diapers...)! They were better than any sort of hand towel in drying my palms.

I think now, looking back, that I may have been ashamed of doing that and never said a word about it. Sometime along this lengthy road of music, I stopped using them and I haven't the vaguest idea of when that may have actually happened. It is of no comfort to see a Master doing the same thing. He is certainly entitled to do whatever he sees fit but it surely gave me a head jerk to realize what it was !!

Regards, Paul

Oh I know what I was thinking... Quite a few years back, Lloyd did a show in Drammen, Norway. The room reminded me of a low ceiling in a small venue like they might often have in Norway. Any Norwegians care to chime in here?

The master is his usual impeccable form. It's kind of dark.....Is that the JCH?

Here is a little info about the Lloyd Green videos.
They were taped somewhere in Norway (Europe).
Lloyd and "Scotty" Dewitt Scott had a steelguitar-seminar there in 1991,

One of my favorite instrumentals, and one of the first tunes I learned on the steel.

I found it years ago in Scotties Anthology book, along with some other cool stuff like Blue Jade, another favorite of mine.

Yep, I was right then. That was the show and seminar they did in Drammen, a city , just outside of Oslo

Yes, Lloyd played his JCH, now owned by Henning Kock in Denmark.

The video's are from April (Easter) 1991. I was there and played after Lloyd.
The band is "Country Friends" from Norway.

This was only about 7 or 8 months before Lloyd retired. He played so good and did about one hour with sooooo tastfully playing.

That's explains why I sound so bad. I've been wearing my diaper somewhere other than my knee. :whoa: :whoa: :whoa: :)

go to www.lloydgreentribute.com
then go to soundclips and scroll down to bars of steel, it is a better quality mp3, and an awesome rendition.
