Great song and message Scottie. You are very special for recognizing our military and the families who are left at home to cope.
Thanks for the tribute.

P.S. Our best to Theresa and happy holidays.

Great song. Thanks for remembering veterans. My father was killed by the Germans in World War II off of Anzio beach head in Italy. I was a United States Marine during Vietnam, and some people don't know what suffering really is.

I jsut felt driven to get this message out. A lot of us (most of us) are feling a little pressured right now and think that is why getting the song out was so important to me.

Scott, being retired Navy, I really appreciate your video. What is more important is the thought that caused you to write the song.
Thank you for thinking of the military family.
I spent a number of 7 month cruises and tours away from my children in the years of their developement and that can not be replaced.
Thanks a lot!

Scotty's Tribute To Our Military

Post by Bernie Gonyea »

Thank you so much , Scotty , for sharing this song with us all. I , too , am a Disabled veteran of the Korean Conflict [ 52-56 ] and so appreciative of someone like you taking the time to remember the active and inactive men and women whom have given service to this great nation of ours ; and their fanilies and their sacrifices, which they have endured for their loved ones serving on the front lines. May the good lord be with all our servicemen and women and the families. Thanks , Scotty..Bernie

The Touch of The Masters Strong Hand

Scotty, that was just absolutely great, to do a song of that magnitude had to come from the Lord our God. Keep up the good work and follow his Spirit like you did in this song.
Folks if that don't touch you, your wood's wet.
Thanks,
Bill

Scott. ..this was outstanding! Like I said on the youtube, it is seldom I like a song the first time I hear it. This one sat there right away. You nailed both the lyrics and the melody.

The words are so appropriate in this day and age, and they apply to most walks of life, not only our military people.
In my not so humble opinion, you have a winner here.
Are you a pro songwriter?
Alan Jackson should be made aware of this one.
Keep'em coming my friend.

I appreciate your kind words Bent.Pro-writer? ow that would be a dream come true. I have only had minimal success as a song writer. A few recorded but no royalty checks. I like to write and even more so produce tunes. This song was an obvious message from above and I am so glad I was chosen to deliver it.
Thanks again to all.

Well, Scott, you just keep doing what you're doing. Hone those writing skills, produce the nice tunes and above all, pitch your songs. Tell you why I "heard" Alan Jackson doing this one...it is a great follow-up to Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning.
