Joaquin Murphy on SteelGuitarJazz.com

Post by Jim Cohen »

We've just added two mp3 tracks from the great Murph, over at www.SteelGuitarJazz.com (with thanks to Doug Freeman!) One is Honeysuckle Rose and the other is Sweet Georgia Brown. Great stuff! Come on over and get an earful in the Listening Lounge, then check out our other mp3s and videos of great jazz on steel. And, hey, while you're there, please sign the guestbook and say 'hi'!

Enjoy!

Jim-Thanks for posting and for all the great playing on your Jazz Website.
I just listend to the old boy, "Murph". Great stuff in those days. He was at my house in Phoenix in the 70's and played my home built steel. Didnt even use the pedals. I never heard anything come out of my steel like that before. He was playing some great chord style Jazz stuff. We had a good time....al.:) :D :D 8) 8)
