Yeah, it was great alright. Two "words" come to mind about Kevin's performance and sound........P. U.!! Another in a continuing long line of
"novelty" performers.

I guess while we we are on the topic, what is with Randy Travis and his voice. It sounded like he couldn't make the words or the notes and he looked like death warmed over. When Steve Hinson took the ride on Forever and Ever Amen the sound man was sleeping as usual. Costner was ok but I wouldn't rush out to buy his album. He also sounded like it was hard for him to sing. Good fiddle player though. |

I didn't see it, but I'd be sorry if there's anything wrong with Randy; he's always struck me as being one of the more-talented country singers of the last twenty years or so. His performance on that George Jones Tribute a while ago was wonderful. _________________ Roger Rettig: Emmons D10, B-bender Teles, Martins, and a Gibson Super 400!

I saw the Opry.
I love Kevin as an actor. I'll say he doesn't sing like he talks. Let's say he's very high pitched in singing and I wasn't impressed by the song.
All in all, I thought it was cool to see him on the TV GOO.
Hopefully, we'll see the Time Jumpers on the TV GOO in the future.
I thought Randy did good for his first time at the Ryman. I thought he was trying abit to hard to sing like George Jones.
Steve, you could have been up in the mix, great job! |

I agree that Steve Hinson's Show Pro could have been up more in the mix but what I did hear sounded great! |

Randies voice was definately off. It seemed to me like he just didn't care, which I know better.Kevin Costner, well he needs to stick to acting.

I was curious to see how Costner would perform, I wonder if no one has had the courage to say "You need to go back to the woodshed". |

I didn't see Kevin on the Opry Saturday. The Home Shopping Network had a good deal on some salad bowls that I couldn't get away from. How did he stack up compared to Darius Rucker and Kid Rock? I'll try to catch him when he does the Midnight Jamboree. |

I think Darius & Kid Rock are much better singers! |

I'll have to take your word for it. Those salad bowls just took top priority and I got an amazing Gensu knife just for being one of the first 5000 callers. Does Kid Rock have twin fiddles? |
