Still Recording With My Old Sho-Bud

Post by Terry Miller »

Good morning,

Just wanted to share this song my son wrote. We recorded this in his studio a few days ago. I used my old reliable 1969 Sho~Bud guitar and played through 1970 Sho~Bud Kane amp with the original D-Series JBL in it.

Curious what you feel about the song, the mix and tone on the steel.

Thanks for your feedback.

Terry
"Pure Vintage Tone"
Now i remember why i love the steel guitar. The 60`s
was when i first heard "THAT SOUND" of a Pedal Steel Guitar (and it was a Sho Bud). Would love to see ya post some pictures of your steel and amp. You sound Great Terry, your Son does a great job on that song also. Good luck in the future.

Thanks guys The old Sho Bud doesn't look good anymore, the finish is peeling off but it has alot of character. Shot gave it to me when I was 17. My son's studio is just a 12 by 12 room. He has a catalog of about 145 songs. Hoping something comes of it someday. We do have alot of fun. Terry

Bernie If it was Brad's CD that you bought it was me on the cuts. Since then we have upgraded most of the recording gear.We are getting some response in Nasville on some of his material. Keeping our fingers crossed. Terry

Terry,
Like Frank says "Pure Vintage Tone". Sounds real good, and your son does have a great voice. I think this would make it at least to the top ten for someone like Vince Gill. Best wishes for future success, and keep 'em coming!!!

Terry,
After the CMA show the other night I told my wife that there are still people making COUNTRY music. Thank you for confirming that. Great job! Don't ever retire that Sho-Bud!
