- I'm looking at a Remington Single 8 tonight
- non-pedal
- Owner said he bolted a strip of steel to underside
- he thought it was bowing a little when he tuned it
- ie, "cabinet drop"
- I never heard of that being an issue

Brian, I seriously doubt it.
Steelmasters have little or no cabinet drop.
They're made with high quality hardwood, either Ash or Poplar.
I have 2 Steelmasters - a T-8 and a D-8, and I've played a few single necks as well.
They stay in tune better than any steel guitar I've played. _________________

I will also attest to the quality of Herb's guitars, as I have a single neck. It's top quality, solid wood. And even after periods of sitting, it's still in tune. |

- i'll post a pic later...
- its an aluminum U channel, nice job
- output/sound very different from my StngMstr & Oahu
- wonder if Aluminum would impact tone?
- ...and need to come up with a "cup" to throw bar into when switching atween g-tar & steel mid-song
...& I mean throw! _________________ 'Frenchy' LeBlanc...

I've only played a single neck. But it stayed in tune even in the most challenging conditions. And the tone...... _________________ Amor vincit omnia |
