Check out these songs

Post by Whip Lashaway »

I finally got a myspace of my own and managed to upload some stuff.

http://www.myspace.com/whiplashaway1

The first one is just a snippet of a gospel song that I did at my church back in march. It was strictly a jam thing but I thought it turned out okay. The other 2 songs are by Johnnie Branham. He wrote them and we went into the studio and this is the result. He's doing a whole album and you can check out more of his stuff at his myspace. These are just 2 that I really thought turned out very well. Hope you enjoy! God Bless, Whip

I guess it's the old "If you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all" syndrome!!!

Whip,
After several attempts I was only able to listen to a little of "Because He Lives", and what I could hear of you playing the steel guitar sounded good. I was unable to listen to the other two snippets. I just tried again to listen to your snippets, and am getting the message "Song is not currently available" on all three snippets.

There may be a problem with my computer but I have never had much success viewing/listening to songs played on myspace. Perhaps others are having the same problem.

Donny, myspace must be having a problem. I went there and had the same trouble. Checked out a friends myspace and had the same trouble at his site. I guess just check it out later. If it keeps up I'll send you some mp3's in email if ya want. The songs by Johnnie are really good.

Whip Lashaway,
I enjoyed that very much, everything worked fine for me, nice playing by everybody and good vocals.

Gotta go now and catch the Deadwood Stage comin' over the hill.

James.

Whip,
It loaded up no problem for me. You play some fine steel there. Drivin a truck was my favorite. You were laid back and almost quiet al thru the first half, then when it was your turn at the break you jumped at it man, and that pickin just shone all the way..

Thanks for the comments guys. Like I said the Because He Lives was strictly off the cuff. The other 2 I had a little chance to prepare for. I did all of the steel parts for the album in two sets that lasted about 2-3 hours each. I also helped with the mixdown. BTW I used my 12 string Sierra with a Session 2000 on these 3 cuts. Glad you like them.

Graham, Thanks. I have a couple more from the session that I think you all will like. I'm just waiting for some final mixing to take place.
