City Lights (kinda) On You Tube By Fred Justice

Post by Fred Justice »

One of our carport jammers (Matt Proudy) filmed this at our carport jam this past Sunday.
I never had any idea it would make it to You Tube or I would have payed more attention to detail, if ya know what I mean.
Anyway, I hope you can enjoy it a little.
I hope this link works,

I don't think anyone really knows how good a steel player Fred is. He is very creative. If you listen to the changes when he plays you understand hoe awesome he is. He is definatly a stylist and I'm proud to call him my friend.

That sounds great Fred,

I remember you 2 years ago at the ISGC in St.Louis you where at the Rains booth. You told me that you must drive for about 1500 miles to get to St.Louis. Thats a long distance man. But anyway Fred you have a great sound and technique. I hope to see more from you on YouTube. You sound like Fred but also a little bit like J.D. I love it.

Best wishes from Holland,

Marcel

Nice Job, Fred.
I'm enjoying my Hilton pedal. Also, saw a steel guitar case you built on my friend's new Rittenberry. Nice case! You do a good job playing the steel and supplying the trade...

Nice pickin' and great tone Fred! I love the way you strayed out on a limb and reeled it back in. That tension really keeps me on the edge of my seat and make for a great ride.

Hey thank you guys so much. This off the cuff ride was one of those things you just don't think much of at the time, I'm glad you folks liked it.
Thank you all for your nice words and comments.
Actually I'd like to do more of these You Tube things if I had the proper camera, any suggestions?

I tried it again and it worked fine! When you looked to your right at the end of your ride I expected the camera to cut to a shot of Ramona singin' ;-)
....Great pickin' Fred!

Fred, Real nice expression, along with a nice tone too. Nothing there to want to change. That's how a song should be played. However you're feeling it at the time! It comes from the heart that way.

Real nice job, and loved your voicings.

Fred ; A fine job on this great Bill Anderson composition. Yes, I'm in agreement with all these other forumites about your talent on the Rains guitar. Did the lady to your right also play steel? Have been looking for you to post another song on tilley's web site, Fred. Your playing abilities are too great to keep hidden.. U-Tube some more Fred..Bernie :D

Thanks Bernie, yes the lady next to me in the you tube does play a Rains, her name is Arlene Seydel from Gold Canyon Arizona.
However Bernie, that was a MSA I was playing in the video, thanks again.

Fred J ustice On His MSA

Fred ; thanks for the info, in ref to the lady steeler; I guess what made me think you were playing a RAINS is both the guitars looked like the same color [ And I need new glasses ]. Are you now a dealer for the MSA Steels also. Dave Hartley is certainly a great advertisement for The Rains Guitars. If I were playing professionally; I'd have one ordered today. You do a fine job, Fred, no matter what guitar you are sitting behind. I surely would love to come to the big show in March, the good lord willing, to meet many of my favorite steelers. Was coming last March but had a Diabetic Shock along with a problem with my heart.. happened right on the day I would have gotten on the plane in Syracuse. Anyway, thanks my friend..Bernie :whoa: :) :D
