I do a lot of Ebay.
Home computer Mac Mini with 10.5 something.
Office computer Windows XP Pro.
Both Firefox.
For the last few days after looking down the list of let's say lap steel and selecting an item in the list then hitting the back button, the browser will go back to the top of the list, not the part of the page where I originated.
I've restarted and updated everything.
's up with this?

Are you typing in ebay.com or do you have a bookmark that you made? If so, see if still happens if you type ebay.com in the address bar and go from there.

Do you have any ebay-related firefox extensions (or one with a script that modifies ebay in some way, like Stylish or Greasemonkey)? If so, try disabling them and see what happens.

Finally, try using ebay while logged out and see if this happens. When you are normally on ebay, does the URL start with "http" or "https"?

I am using FF 3.0.3 and can confirm that this does not happen to me, that is, if I hit "back" from a specific listing, I will be taken to the list but already scrolled down to where I was when I hit the link, not to the top of the list. I am not logged into ebay, however.
