Randy Travis - Steve Hinson On Steel

Post by Ron Silva »

Randy Travis, with Steve Hinson on steel, performed at the Fresno Fair last night.
Great country singer and a fabulous country band. Most of the guys have been in Randy's band for more than 10 years. The band was tight, the mix was very good, and the volume was just right.
Steve Hinson played with great intonation, on a cold and windy night. His Sho-Pro SD-10 sounded fantastic.
If Randy Travis and his band are in your area, do not miss his show. You'll be glad you attended. :D

Dittos! I've seen them at the Strawberry Festival in Plant City, FL 2 times. Great band and show. Steve Hinson does a great job too - super picker, for sure. It's worth braving cold weather to see the show.

Steve - Yes, I was there for the Ray Price show. That will go down as the best country music show I've ever been to. I was amazed at Ray's performance. I was sitting directly in front of Mike Cass, and it was a pleasure to hear him play - first time I had heard him. Randy's portion of the show was as great as always. Was that a blond SD-10 or LDG Sho-Bud you were playing?

Ken,I was trying to remember ever having a blonde guitar...you are right!I was playing a Sho~Bud(D-10 with back neck removed) that was "given"to me by a friend...I later gave it back to him...that guitar had been rebuilt by Duane Marrs and Jeff Surratt and was a great guitar-I sure miss it!Thanks again for your kind words...Steve
