anybody using the Delta-fex unit in your rack and just curious how you like them??
The Peavey name speaks for it's self when it comes to quality and dependability!

I used one for a while for delay & reverb it worked very well.
The single DFex has no programming capability so if you want to change to a different effect you have to dial it in... not stage friendly but fine for anything else ..or just delay |

IMHO they suck.
I have/had one. Bought it new. It didn't last a month. Intermittent problems I never could get to straighten out.
The delay was not "attenuable" other than preset 12/3/6/9 O'clock intervals. In other words you had to live with the delay length that you got at those positions. Can't say it was noiseless either.
I brought it back to "Showcase Music" here in PDX, and the owner wouldn't give my money back. He offered to "credit it toward a better model".
He said, when I noted the fakey "attenuation", "Whaddya expect for that kind of money?" ( I think it was 149$ or something..)
I can't think of a better amplifier than Peavey. Got a basement full of the best ones there are.
I never had a worse delay.
JMHO.
YMMV.

Well Bo, mine had a "rotary dial" with no "notches" and it sure seemed like it had true attenuation, but the smooth knob sweep sure enough only had set delay times. 4 of them. That was what steamed me. It was really deceptive. Worth double checking.
I couldn't get the right times for the cascading delay on single note stuff, nor my "sweet spot" at about 327ms for regular playing.
I'll fire it up tonight if I get a chance and can get it to work.

Thanks for your input..................I think. Seriously though, the original Deltafex was a no bones straightforward inexpensive delay device. I programmed 5 steel guitar presets into the Dual Deltafex and I thought that it sounded pretty good.

For the price, at the time, it was good for what it was...
I remember I came up with "Peavey: Whaddya expect for that kind of money." Slogan over that deal..
I don't think I'm wrong on the limited delay time "presets", and I felt it was a little deceptive to have a smooth knob on the delay times and a limited amount of delay times.
I wish I had more time to devote to a number of things, mental pursuits, and fiddling around with equipment these days but other things have taken center stage..
I REALLY like the Classic 50 that GC sold me for 400$ with a new warrantee.
It HAD a kind of a speaker buzz and since has quieted down. It was a floor model that got customer abused and not broken in gently.
I'd put some Blue Dogs in it, and was going to until the Blue Marvels started behaving. I like them fine now.
Everybody excels at things, and Peavey has more than excelled at Amps.
