Unfortunately, I cannot make it over there this year. Hopefully next year! I'm sure it'll be a great show and a great time. Go if you can!

Dave's tribute to John Hughey in Sweet Memories.
Dave was the first one to post this tribute which seems to be a favorite tribute song for other pickers.

I am sure that is song would impress at the Irish Steel Festival. I'm serious, guys, try and get our good buddy Dave to attend.

Bernie, I sent you an email.

I sent an email a while back, in response to the first announcement of this show in Events, about coming over to play a set or participate in a jam this year (at my own expense, of course). I think the contact name was Richard Nelson. Unfortunately, I didn't hear anything back about it. It's too bad, because I would love to come meet all the great steel players across the pond. Maybe next year?

Listening to Daves version of Sweet memories one can see he has a fabulous ear..His tone his touch... I love what he did in the second verse hitting Dawn Sears(Time Jumpers) sing notes while putting his own touch to the song...I'll have to check in and see whats happening in May when we make our trip across the pond...

Joe I have been grinding away at that song for some time now..trying to learn it the way Dave does it. I guess he's my coach and mentor. Proud to say that.
