Watermelon Slim & The Workers

I had the pleasure of seeing Watermelon Slim & The Workers Saturday night at the Paramount Blues Festival. First thought is what a delightful performer. His set was entertaining from the first note.

For those note familiar, Watermelon Slim sings and plays both harp and lap steel. His voice is one of those unique and interesting ones, full of character and life experience. His playing on both instruments is outstanding. He tore the lap steel up! If you have a chance to see the man and his band, jump on it, you won't be disappointed.
