Anbody know ..... who was the steel player on Ted Daffin's record, Born to Lose?

Andy,

It might have been Ted himself. He started his career as steel player and worked with Cliff Bruner before starting his own band, the "Texans".

I also beleive it was Ted Daffan himself. However, I remember Ted Daffan appearing at Foreman (Stu) Phillips County Barn Dance on Venice Pier, Ca. and I beleive Paul Westmoreland was playing steel. Paul the the writer of the song "Detour" which was a huge hit in the fourties.
