New Clip of the Week 08/24/08

Post by Walter Stettner »

Good Morning,

The new Clip of the Week dates back to 1971, this time an interesting uptempo track:

Enjoy the music!

PS.: No new clip next week - I will be in St. Louis, listening to some great "live clips" :) :) :)

Best Regards, Walter

Sounds like Lloyd to me. I'd guess Buddy Spicher on fiddle and Charlie McCoy on harmonica. Don't know who the singer is. I ruled out Jones and Paycheck pretty quick.

Is it Del Shannon singing and Weldon Myrick on steel guitar?

Yes, the steel player is Hal Rugg, the singer is Jack Reno who only had a few minor chart hits, "Hitchin' A Ride" being one of them (#12 in 1971).

Kind Regards, Walter
