Terry,

Bev and I will not be there at this jam. Mike Sigler has asked us to do a show at The Liberty Bell Resturaunt in Bremen Ohio on Saturday August 23. I think its going to be too far to drive out to the jam the next day. Hope to see you at the next one in November, your next opprotunity to steel my bass! Laughing

I'll be downtown Pittsburg from the 17th to the 21st of August, just wondering if anyone is playing in the general Pittsburg area during that time. Thanks

Real funny Tommy. Just remember both of you, you are going to miss me someday!

Roger - Sorry but I can't think of a place to go while here in Pittsburgh. Good country has dried up plus I'm pretty out of touch with the local scene. You know, fat, bald, and worse almost 50. Not to mention I'm too tired to stay out late.

If you think that's funny just wait till you hear me play bass left handed. We're going to miss you someday alright, the 24th of this month.

Just in case anyone's interested....

For those (like me)who may not have been down to the WILD COUNTRY DANCE HALL in Saegertown, PA yet, from some help with directions received via PM's and a little detective work on my part, I've managed to muster up some more detailed directions to the hall. (The Wild Country Dance Hall doesn't seem to show up anywhere in phone directories, internet searches, Mapquest etc.)

The Wild Country Dance Hall is located *next door to a place called the Factory Restaurant. Off of I-79, take EXIT 154 onto RT. 198 into Saegertown to RT. 19/6. Turn right onto RT. 19/6. Wild Country Dance Hall will be down about a 1/4 mile on the left. Just watch for the sign for the Factory Restaurant.*

*ON EDIT: Removed previous address/directions as they will send you down a dirt road to the middle of a corn field! Rolling Eyes

Your right Mark, thats it. The town of Saegertown is very small also. I believe it only has one stoplight in the whole town. The place was also a factory of some kind at one time.

Sorry Tommy, I'll be leaving for Buffalo WY. Taking the bike out to deliver it to the new owner. I do have a gig to play for when I get there though. You guys have a good time in Saegertown, seems I'm always playing out of town somewhere when your date comes around, er somptin.

OK. So, my directions were a little off. So much for GPS and Mapquest! Rolling Eyes

I've made the corrections in my previous post for future reference.

None-the-less, made it down and had a good time meeting up with "Uncle Doug", Terry, Tommy, Herb, Ed, Jack, Charlie and the rest of the guys. Good folks.

Looking forward to the next jam....Nov. 16th.
