We had a great time on Feb 1st in Gulfport, MS with our "meeting/jam". Some players didn't get to make it because of some illnesses, but we sure had a good turnout of players on hand.....One in particular, I'd like to make mention of....Mr. Buck Grantham and Mitzi, from Denham Springs, LA. Buck sure made that Mullen D-10 sound great. Top shelf playing Buck, and thanks for coming and joining our association. Another player came in from Lakeland, FL, Mr. Ivan Reddington...Mr. Jerry Byrd would be proud of this mans playing for sure. Mr. Bill Stafford and Mike Brewer got things kicked off along with Ed Clark (stand-up bass) Kenny Duprey on drums and a great guitar player, whose name slips my mind at this time but they sounded great......Next one is on April 6th....details will come a little later on....Thanks to all who came and participated in this. HAL

Yes we did have a great time at the jam at gulfport with Hal,Bill Stafford and all the rest of the guys, and it was great to make new friends. The seafood dinner Mitzi & I ate there was very good. Also I thought the sound in that building was real good.Mitzi & I were proud to join the club. I am playing Dallas in March and am expecting to see some of you guys and gals over there. Thanks for having us at the DSSG&MA.

Buck...It was indeed our pleasure to have you and an even greater pleasure hearing that Mullen D-10 talk to us, with your hands, etc. doing the talking....I'm looking forward to the next one on April 6th. Mitzi's a sweetheart, too.....later, Hal

Thanks to Buck and Mitzi for doubling our pleasure and doubling our fun. Buck's playing is so pristine. Soon as I can think of more proper adjectives, I will turn them in also.
Thanks to Ivan Reddington for playing the music I love so much. The noise level of the crowd really diminished when Ivan started with those beautiful Hawaiian songs that he plays so very well. Makes me want to throw my pedal steel away and get back to the pretty basics. Thanks Ivan.
