My computer has been invaded by a nasty little bastard (Trojan) named NewMediaCodec. Any help?

Download, install and update the totally free Spybot Search and Destroy, immunize, then "Check for problems."

Or, buy a commercial anti spyware program, such as those from Spyware Doctor, Spy Sweeper, Norton, Trend Micro, Eset, etc.

Always check for updates before scanning for threats. sometimes definitions are updated multiple times every day. Note, that Spybot S&D is only updated every week, on Wednesdays.
