Merle Travis doing the singing and guitar playing and maybe Herb Remmington or Curly Chalker on steel guitar.

Yes, it is Merle Travis singing and on guitar, the steel player is different, he was elected in the SGHOF about two years ago....

OK then because of the sound of some of the chords he is hitting it must be MAURICE ANDERSON on steel guitar.
