At the link above, you can watch and listen to our church services live. The times are 5pm CT on Saturday, and 10am CT on Sunday. Sonny Garrish plays the Saturday evening service, and I do Sunday mornings. If you get a chance, drop in and listen! (Pastor Davis gives a great word, too.)

Gary, it's a live broadcast, and it's ONLY available when it's happening. It's not a constantly available file. You can only watch it at 5pm CT Saturday, and 10am CT Sunday.

Mikey, I goofed up. I watched the TV on Channel 5. I just assumed it would be on there. I watch it most Sundays and knew I hadn't seen any music on before. Let us know when it will be again and I will use the link. Thanks

It's EVERY Saturday at 5pm CT and EVERY Sunday at 10am CT at the link above ONLY. This weekend, though, neither Sonny or I will be there. I don't know what he's doing, but I'll be in Atlanta at Dukes Fest...

Pastor's Testimony

Post by Doc Rickles »

Hi Mike,
Did not get to hear you but took time to hear Pastor Maury's testimony. That was great. Urge all the steelers to listen to it and they will be blessed. Will catch you when I can. Thanks Mikey you're a great steeler and a good witness.

Thanks, Doc. Maury is a good man; he doesn't pull any punches. As I said, I'm in Atlanta today, so you won't hear me this morning. Wish I was there, though...

I play guitar every Sunday at our church. We tease our preacher about all his parts being just "filler" between the songs we play.

Very cool. Please be sure to give my best to Sonny also. What a great player and guy he is.

BTW... on a few of the Yoo-Tube clips I've seen of me with Gene from Church Street Station I'm using your Fender amp you had when you were with Tammy back then. "Memories to Burn" is one of 'em. Remember that ?? The producers didn't want us moving stuff around and your Fender was already up there so you let me try it. I guess it was OK ?!?!

Sincerely,
Chris "Tiny" O.

Tiny... yes, I do indeed remember. Man, that was a while back. Thanks for the memory jog! Seems like that was a Showman 115, IIRC. Loved that amp. Had to give it back when we lost our endorsement.

Hey Michael, me and 6 other family members just moved from Texas to Tennessee. Did you say you have played some with Sonny Garrish? He played on our albums back in the 70's-80's, when we were signed with " Calvary Records ". How is he doing, and is he still doing a lot of gospel session work? Also, have you ever done any session work with Eddie Crook?

Hey Michael, where is your church located? Do you all still sing southern or country gospel music at your church? If so, my family and I will probably visit soon. We just moved from Texas to Tennessee, and live just south of Nashville, in Columbia.

Scott... man, I've worked with Eddie since 1974. Sonny and I are good friends. We both go to the same church!

It's called Cornerstone, and it's located in Madison, just off I-65 at the Old Hickory Blvd. exit.

Michael, your church is just up the road from us. As a matter of fact, our family just got back from the "Station Inn" tonight, so we must have driven right by your church. Get a load of this. "Vince Gill" was playing rythym and lead guitar at the show, and I got to talk music with him, after the show, for quite a while. He's a really nice guy, and down to earth. He was playing a new guitar, and the tone and playing was great. Of course, Paul Franklin was great also. Can't wait to here your pastor. My wife and I also work in the ministry. We've bought land in Columbia, just south of you all. I'm sure we'll visit soon. Can't wait to here the music and singing. By the way, Sonny played on a couple of our albums, back in the 70's-80's. Our family gospel group recorded with Eddie Crook, and also Calvary records back then. I've been playing steel for 34 years now. Boy, I'm getting so old. Also, our good friends, the Bethels, just recorded with Eddie last week, and recorded one of the songs we wrote. Also, Jeff and Sheri Easter sent us a letter last week, letting us know that they had recieved some of our songs, and would let us know if they would be recording them on their next project. Keep your fingers crossed. We love bluegrass, southern and country gospel, and I think the Easters are the tops. Sorry this letter is so long, but we just moved here from Texas, and I thought I'd inform you about my family when I found out you recorded for Eddie Crook records. Keep me informed on whats going on at your church.

One more thing Michael. My wife just informed me that she thinks you may have recorded on 1 of our albums back in the 70's. Duke Dumas, Tommy Williams, Sonny Garrish, also played on the album. The group name was " THE SINGING GUARNERES ". Do you remember recording with them? That was a long time ago.

Scott, I sure worked with all those guys. It's very possible. I don't remember, though.

I would hardly call our church "up the road" from Columbia. But, I'm not from Texas. :D I think you're referring to the other Old Hickory exit that's south of town. Ours is on the north side on I-65, exit 90 or something. I never paid attention to the number. It's the exit just after the Briley Parkway/Opryland one. Hope you get to come. The Word is awesome. Service is at 10am CT.

I apologize if it's not my place to post here, but the 10am is central time. I watch at 11 eastern standard time. I don't know how other time zones would play out. It's a live stream, so you have to be there at the correct time it is broadcast.

I was able to see one of these services and the word is very good. I enjoyed it very much. My mom doesn't have internet so my week ends to sit with her I am out of the loop.

Time differences can be a little confusing. It's a good program. I would hate for someone to miss it because of the time change. It it well worth tuning into.

OH, yeah, the steel playin' isn't bad either. ;-)

Tamara, of course it's your place. In the initial post at the top, I put CT. Guess I should have reiterated it. I'll edit it. Thanks.

Michael, your right, we are south of Nashville. Still not too far to drive to visit though. In Texas, you may drive 2-6 hrs. just to visit someone. I've got family members that drive from Beaumont to Houston every day to go to work.( 1 1/2-2 hrs.) Fuel prices are making that tough on them at todays prices. I'm amazed that you can cover a large part of Tennessee in that amount of time. We love it here. Music somewhere every nite. We'll visit your church soon. We're still trying to get settled in our homes under construction, and are living in our motorhome at present.

Michael,
I would love to be able to view this, but
I'm on the west coast, leading worship on Sunday mornings.
Any chance your church can transfer this to youtube, or something similar?
Thanks
