To me, it looks like Norm Hamlet in the early days of his long career with Merle Haggard, now in his 42nd year.

I believe this is from the 1971 PBS TV special titled something like the world's greatest unknown guitarist.

Yep - he's in mighty fine company with Merle, Roy, and Roy. After that show aired, practically every guitarist I knew was scurrying around looking for a Telecaster after they picked their jaw up from the floor.

The cut 'After Hours' from Roy's second album is to this day my holy grail for the catalog of great blues tones.
