NEW.....Leonard T. Zinn........With 3 - 101 Ranch Boys songs

Post by Danny Hammers »

b0b, I know this is the wrong place but this is one of the Good Guys

I sorry about the double post, but b0b moved it from Event Announcements page.

Announcement For Leonard T. Zinn

The URL is www.LTZinn.com

Today is the day the new LT Zinn web site is on line.
Hope you all enjoy it. Still have one or two more pictures

Fellow Forum members
One of the best way to help a new web site is to visit the site. In the beginning It needs hits to get on, and stay up on, the Search Engines

This is just one think that you can help with, of course the more often you visit the more help it is

Thanks For the help
Danny

The website is a marvelous testament to both an
exceptional man and a great steel guitar player which I'm blessed and honored to know as a dear friend.

L. T.= One of my steel guitar heroes !!

Post by Eddie Cunningham »

I can remember listening to the 101 Ranch boys in the 40s and enjoyed his steel doing runs in the background . I wrote him a letter asking what Steel he was playing ??" It sounded so good I was sure that it was a Rickenbacher but he wrote me back and as I recall he said he was playing an Epiphone steel !! Eddie "C" >> old geezer

L T wishes to thank you who have visited his new web page.
We are very proud of it.
Danny Hammers does such nice work on these sites.
Scott Rogers my youngest son did do the photography on the home page. He is a professional photographer here in Muskegon, owning Woodland Photography.
Rick Alenander shot the videos and I think he plans on doing more at this years upcoming Hawaiian Show in St Louis.
From this location, my grandson Paul is submitting much of the info through emails, etc.
Also, our friend Ted submitting via scanning.
So we are all in this together, because we love and respect this humble, giving man.........L T Zinn.
I hope to see many of you at Scotty's Convention this year.

Hey Zinnerman = T for trouble

Post by ed packard »

Also in the 40s, and in Mass.(got that Eddie Cunningham?), I was in Arlington dialing across the radio dial looking for nothing in particular, when I heard a sound. It was the announcer intro'ing the 101 Ranch Boys. they opened with LT playing Moon Over Miami. Next week he opened with Poinciana. My reaction was...wow, never thought of using the instrument that way.

And so on to playing places in what became known as the war zone in Boston, and a GOL format show on a radio station in Brookline.

Eddie C...we must have met somewhere...blame that ZINN feller.

Just a quick note:

Post by Danny Hammers »

Just a quick note:
The music on the 101 Ranch Boys page, was taken
from the CD but the CD is at 1141 bit rate, (30,949KB)
and in order to make it sound like it was on an old radio
and small enough to use on the background sound I made it only 24 bit rate, (333KB)

The CD sounds AWESOME!

LT's site will be added to my "favorites". Nice job! P.S. Out of all the different versions of "Steel Guitar Rag" that I've acquired, Leonard Zinn & the 101 Ranch Boys has been my favorite.....Bill

Hi Guys, This just shows how great it can sound without pedals.

I have added two more songs to the the Old Radio on The 101 Ranch Boys page.

At www.LTZinn.com

Left knob "It's A Sin" - Top knob my favorite "Double Steel Boogie" - Right knob "Steel Guitar Rag"

Enjoy

I remember seeing books of tab by LT at one of the conventions but I fail to find it on his website. Is it still available?
