Waylon & MOON!!
A GREAT old song called " Darling Let's Turn Back The Years ".. Waylon gives the Moon 2 different breaks in the song. I really think Waylon loved to hear Moon play the steel as ONLY Moon can do it in his own special style!!!!!!!!!!!!!..

"Tone is in the hands. Unless your wife will let you buy a new amp. Then it's definitely in that amp."
We need to turn the TWANG up a little
It's not what you play through, it's what you play through it.
They say that tone is all in the fingers...I say it is all in your head
Some of the best pieces of life are the little pieces all added up..Ron
the value of friendship. Old friends shine like diamonds, you can always call them and - most important - you can't buy them.

Thanks Ron! I just got through listening to it twice. That one does something for me. I love how Moon throws in those harmonics. I've watched a lot of the YouTube vids with Waylon and Moon - he has a bag of tricks that must weight a ton. I'm fortunate enough to have seen Moon with Waylon twice.

You are welcome,Ken.
Moon is one of the 1st originals on the pedals IMHO.
I know there are others but most of them sound a LOT alike & no one can say that about Moon!!!!!!
Love his style & i NEVER tire of listening to him -
the pure honey just flows from his honky-tonk style like none of the others!!
A BIG Mooney fan... Ron

Ron - You and I are on the same page regarding Mooney. I wrote the following on another thread:
"The earliest record I can recall being drawn to by the pedal steel was The Best of Buck Owens, with Mooney all over it (Foolin Around, Under Your Spell Again, Second Fiddle, etc). I recall hearing it playing loud on a HiFi at a W. T. Grants store, and begging until my parents bought it for me. My fascination began very early."
There's only one like him. Often immitated, never duplicated.
