I saw this on Craig's list and it seems legit:
Reverse Engine Records is collecting tracks for Heaventone, a netlabel compilation celebrating steel guitar music. We are open to submissions of any recording that prominently features steel guitar, especially pedal steel (but also lap steel and other related instruments).
Possible sounds include, but are certainly not limited to:
- solo pedal steel
- experimental music
- classic country
- folk
- indie pop
- lo-fi
- IDM / electronic / cut-up / glitch
- turntablism / hip hop
- Hawaiian
- skronk
- ambient
- field recordings/found sounds
- space age bachelor pad / retro
- anything you can come up with
The resulting collection of sounds will demonstrate the many sonic possibilities of steel guitar, and will be released with a Creative Commons license as a free download on the Reverse Engine netlabel, hosted in the netlabels collection on Archive.org. Please send all submissions as email attachments or download URLs to: reverseengine[AT-SIGN]gmail[DOT]com
Thank you,
Dave M-H, Curator
Reverse Engine Records
I don't really know anything about it though. I'm guessing that there is no money involved.
