Hey Pat,
Very nice playing. If you have only been at it for 3 1/2 years, you are doing SUPER! You need to get in a band. Did you have some previous music background, such as playing guitar? Great job, keep it up.

Thanks guys. I never played any other instrument before the steel and with the nerve damage in my picking hand, I didn't know if I'd be able to. Because of where I live, there's no one to get lessons from.

The rythem tracks and tab, I got from Larry Sasser at the Dallas show. They are the best I have used.

Pat,

I listened to several of you tunes and enjoyed them very much.

Your playing is super for the time you've been at it. I also hear phrasing that many players with more time than you don't play.

If you're not in a band you need to get in one asap.

Have fun and stay with it.

You guys are too kind..but I'll take it.

It does get lonely in this room night after night and wish I could get with a band sometimes.

It's rediculous to me that in Wyoming, in a town of 40,000 you cannot find a country band playing somewhere...ever.

I'll keep practicing and someday.....I'll be ready when that chance comes around. Till then I'll be here sittin in with George. As you can see, he lets me sit out front!

Pat, I have a brother who lives in Gillette. His name is Walter Dobkins, look him up and tell him I said hay. We were planning on comming out but the gas prices put a stop to that.
Play for fun like most of the rest of us. Playing for big George ain't a bad gig. Me I play with Darrell McCall, Ray Price,Tony Booth, Dotty Jack and Leona Williams. If I mess up they never know it. When I get tired I just shut the CD off.
But theres nothing like playing live. Your welcome play in the Derby room this year at the ISGC but you have to use a Derby.
