David, I believe that "Sweet Memories" was written by Mickey Newbury. Buck Reid has a great rendition of it on his CD, and John Hughey does a fantastic job with the "Time Jumpers", here on the Forum.

David, sounds great as usual! Your tone is different on this video than some of your other "installments". It sounds more amplike. Did you change something other than the guitar?

Great song and great video, David. I first heard "I Couldn't Leave You If I Tried" when I was a kid. Rodney Crowell recorded it and his steel player at the time, Hank DeVito was in the video, but in the studio, Paul Franklin played steel on the song. It's a great steel instrumental!

JERRY:- Yes I used a different patch on the Alesis Microverb. I usually have a large room reverb, and on this particular recording, I remember using a patch in the 50's which is delay only. I tweeked the parameters too. Sometimes I like to get the steel sounding a bit different for different tracks. This one seemed to work well as from all you kind comments, you seemed to like it. To be honest, It was a one take video and recording which I nearly never posted because it was not as accurate as I would have liked it. I suppose because it was spontanious, un-rehearsed and tweaked differently in the reverb, it makes it 'Likeable', as Simon Cowell would say! Thank you all for commenting on my videos, its great to see them, and I apologise for not getting back to some of your emails very quickly these days as I have been very busy with things. I am actually typing this on my company Laptop while having a lunch break in a car park in Cambridge. I will try and do another spontanious video soon, and one day, I will get the pedal/knee movements in, and perhaps someday, I will have a go at tabbing some out, I get very many emails about that!

David, I think that you are the most exciting E-9th musician to come along in a long time. Watching and listening to your videos actually gets me a little get-up-and-go urge to play myself. If you decide to tab this, the way you do it, I am certainly interested in buying it and other popular ones that you have done. There is a lot of music in this song, the way it's done. I think that I could gain a lot from the way you play and construct the licks. Thanks again for some of the best I've ever heard in a long time.
