The train whistle....?
Its quite easy really. I just kinda slant the bar at no particular angle above the 12th fret, strum the bottom strings ie 10,9,8,7,6 with your thumb pick while the voloume pedal is off, then immediately slide the slanted bar up a few frets while pedalling the volume to almost maximum. With a bit of practice you can kinda get a pretty authentic whistle of a steam train. I think I may have visited Bressingham Steam Trains to much when I was young to have this sound emmbedded in my brain!
