New CD, Old songs, New Myspace !

Post by Olli Haavisto »

Here`s a link to the Myspace of Tokela & Hoedown .
We just released a CD with 15 songs from the 40s and 50s. Recorded live in 2 days , no overdubs, separation booths, earphones or "unnecessary perfectionism". Enjoy !

Very enjoyable stuff here, listened first to the tracks with the Guest, my favourite here would be Night Life, I could listen to that music all night, very accomplished Steel playing.

Next went to the Band site, again very good stuff here by Musicians who can really play well, the male singer has a little Dylanesque tang to his voice, and female singer has a good voice too.

I want this Band CD, where can I get now!!!!!????

James.

Really enjoyed that!
Is it in shops?

I'd like to find "Onkimiehen Blues" also,
i really need to teach to my son that song.
It is about good bass-time soon.
Bass player works just like a drum, you just need to hit it.

Forgot to mention the title of the CD: Honky Tonk Merry-Go-Round, a fairly good description of the contents.
BTW All comments welcome !

HELLO OLLI,

I throughly enjoyed listening to those 4 tunes. This band has some excellent, accomplished musicians. You guys sound great.
I don't know if I'd say the singer has a Dylanesque voice, but he has a slight roughness in his voice that makes for an excellent country singer. I liked his voice the moment I heard it.
This CD is a "Must Have" for anyone who loves Country Music. 8) :)

Olli you sound great on your Williams PSG. I really enjoyed your performance on "Night Life." I'm glad you chose to play it your way. 8)

ROGER

PS: Olli if you are attending the ISGC, bring some
CDs with you. 100 will be OK! :)

Thanks for the bump Uffe!

Roger,
I thought that there`s no need for another big chord version of Night Life so I decided to play it as a single note blues on the E9th mode on my U12.

Harry,
I will e-mail you soon.Take care!
