Smiley, I had to follow Jim Cohen last year, that why I put myself on first this year

Jim Smith I appreciate you, Joe, Smiley and everyone else traveling up here to Mass for the show. You guys are in for a surprise when you hear Dana Flood. He's got a great sound. He did a fantastic set in RI, as did Sam Gibson. Sam seems to gain more energy as the years go by. See you soon.

Friends,

I am so appreciative of the many friends who have been supportive in the past nineteen years. Numerous musicians have attended past Ma. Steel Guitar Bashes, and I can't recall one that wasn't filled with the warmest participation one could hope for. Thank you all for your kindness, and generosity. This coming Sunday, September 29th, will mark the 20th "Bash", and was made possible through efforts put forth by participants of past events. I look forward, and anxiously anticipate meeting with friends once again. I'll try to absorb as much steel guitar music as is possible. I am aware of the great list of entertainers, and I will try to prepare myself for the opportunity to hear 7 hours of exceptionally talented performers entertain with their diversified styles.

Okay Mr. Cohen, you owe me big time for this! Yes, I could have given the newspaper a picture of me, but I selflessly gave them your picture for this feature on the upcoming Mass Bash. Besides... I didn't have one of me.

Oh my word! What a revolting development this turned out to be!

(Well, at least you didn't send them the picture of Groucho at the Steel!)

You're right, Doug. I do owe you for this. And I'm gonna git you for it too!

Members,

When I attend the 20th Annual "Bash" this Sunday, on the 29th of Sept., let it not be said, that I didn't bring my fretless steel with me. The new concept of playing steel guitar, will be no further away than a simple request to see it in action.

Dave,

Sorry, we missed having you, and hope you are feeling much better very soon.

I just returned from the Bash, and it was GREAT!!! It was well attended, very organized, and all the performers were fantastic. What a fine event.

Thank you Bill, Doug, Smiley, Jim, Dana, Mike, Terry, Sam, Pete, Jerry, Frank, and all the others who made it such an enjoyable afternoon.

Friends,

Never in my life have I been more elated and bursting with gratitude. The kindness and friendly atmosphere at the AmVets by everyone who were striving to make the "Bash" a continued success, will always be remembered.

thanks Rob.

Sorry I had to miss it. It's one of my favorite shows each year that I can get there, both playing and listening.

in this case Caring is NOT Sharing what I believe to be strep...

It will make you feel better and you'll be
