Zona Jones needs Steel Player!

Post by Joe McHam »

Posted for Zona! Please respond to his email!!

I am a country artist searching for a new steel guitar player to join our group. Our current steel player is having to leave the group immediately for personal reasons.

We are based out of Beaumont, Texas with several members of our group living in the Beaumont/Houston area. We play an average of 100+ dates per year and primarily travel the Tx/La/Ok region by bus. You can get a flavor for what we do by listening to our music online at www.zonajones.com or www.myspace.com/officialzonajones .

We are looking for someone that can play everything from the contemporary sounds on today's country radio to Texas Swing-Bob Wills style! Looks, personality, personal hygiene, geographic location and the ability to play well with others are very important.

If interested, please respond to ZJones@provostumphrey.com email with some basic information about yourself including, name, age, contact telephone #, where you live, level of experience and work history! We will get back to you soon as possible!

Thank you for your time and consideration!

Steel Player Wanted

Post by Scott Kamp »

Hey Zona, this is Scott Kamp, Aimee's dad. Billy Phelps is president of the Steel Guitar Club in Katy, Texas. I feel sure he can reccomend someone in the Houston area. I know Bobby Bowman is a great player, and I believe he lives in the Houston area. Billy can give you his phone number. You can email Billy at FCSOUND@aol.com. Billy Phelps is also one of the best there is in the country. I know he is very busy, but it doesn,t hurt to ask.----Scott

Someone needs this job

Post by Daniel J. Cormier »

Hey guys This is a great job for someone who really wants to get in to playing steel as a fulltime job. Zona and the guy's are hot to go and and on their way up.Zona's a great guy to work for. I know Lane Thibodeaux and Jody Cameron speak well of him.

If I was younger and single I'd take a shot at this job. But I'm already older and playing 150+ dates a year.
