Herb Steiner has a nice little arrangement with tracks on his "E9 by Request" series.

what a great song for the steel! Maybe because this was one of my favorites when I was a teenager. That old vinyl media. I can hear it in my head the smooth blu- ooo Vel-vet..I'm sure your steel will make it pretty. I can understand your wife bugging you about that. She's right. It'll be great.

I might have to order the course myself. dang it. Very Happy

This is a great song for steel.
I remember Paul Franklin doing this song at the PSGA show in 1988 when I took an all day seminar with him.

Mike Sweeney used to do this on his shows and may have Tab for it. I have the charts if you need a copy.

Roger, I already ordered the course from Herb Steiner. And now that you mention it, my wife first heard it played at the Branson show a few years ago by Mike Sweeney and she has been on my back ever since. I told her it is too hard for me to play but she said she would just appreciate the effort... We'll see.... Very Happy

I've supported Mike many times on guitar, and when he pulled that out I thought "OH Boy I smell a trainwreck" but it went amazingly well for the first time of doing the song. It is a tough song, but Mike gave us very well written charts, and that took the pain away. On the Waterloo show, Davenport show, and the Wi. Rapids show, the featured guest have been real good about detailed charts. That makes the house bands very happy. As the featured guest see it, They just hope we can read them.
