My rig since Oct 07 started playing in June 07:

1) 2007 figured maple Carter S10 w/George L SS pup
2) NV112 w/ Burr Brown chips
3) Steel Guitar Black Box
4) Hilton Low-profile VP
5) Boss ME-50 multi-effects unit
6) Monstor cables (what do I know)
7) BJS 7/8 bar
8) GoldenGate thumbpick and 2 nationals

Everytime I put new strings on this rig I'm amazed at the tone-very happy with everything.

I'm certainly glad to hear that Fredric Mabrut (above) is wearing a 'clean shirt' - something I'm sure you all inadvertently failed to mention!

Me:
Franklin D-10 with L710s (and a box of other various PUs),
Webb amp with the JBL-E130,
Boss DD-3 in lieu of reverb,
BJS bar, preferrably 15/16",
Goodrich L120 VP (currently fine with that although if I can't get a decent replacement pot, I'm going to have a conniption),
Golden Gate thumb, National or Newman fingers,
Nickel strings.

And then there's the Emmons '66 Bolt-on and rack system....

I hope, one day, to be able to play up to the quality of the gear that I own....

Sorry to say, not always a clean shirt.

Hmmm, a semi-non-serious player:

1) Fessenden S-10 3+5, black
2) Goodrich pedal
3) Stroboflip
4) George L cables

Small gigs (playing with acoustic players):

Evans SE-150

Larger:

Brad's Revelation Pre (wonderful preamp) ->
Mesa Maverick + Weber 15"

Still larger:

Revelation into Nashville 1000

I'm in an "I don't like effects" phase, so if anything I use a touch of reverb. There's a Holy Grail and a Rotosphere sitting in the bench if I feel weird.

6 string - parts assembled generic Tele into an Atomic Space Tone (5 watts) into the PA, or Victoria Pro.

Great thread, for steel only ,1- 73 Sho-Bud Pro-II 8&2, 1-Sho-Bud clip on vol pedal, Korg DTR-I tuner ,Session 400 Limited , 7/8 Ernie Ball bar , or 1" Dunlop ,to slow me down. If I'm also playing guitar,I play a Fraser, & add a Boss tremelo ,& a Visual sound Rt.66. I want a blue Herco thumbpick to replace the Nationals, if they won't break ,I see a few folks using them ,are they unbreakable? I practice on a MSA Classic S-10,3&4 I love the set-up of the knees, both E's n the rt. :P
Billy Lee ,Pro-II,, Session 400,Session 500 , Supro , National, SpeedDemons,& too many Archtops & Stratotones.Lots of vintage parts for Kay ! etc.

The BEAST

Post by ed packard »

PST 13 series tuning/setup on a 30" scale (the BEAST) made with SIERRA Session hardware...14 GHS Boomer strings, two tapped pickups, one a Danny Shields, and one a DiMarzio.

Four picks.
Zirconia bar.
Goodrich pedals...one pot, one light.
Effects are in computer = Fast Track, Tone+.
Bluetooth (wireless)from computer to amp(s).
Usual amp is Peavey Session 400.
Roland GR1 synth and GPK2 hex pickup.

Lots of "stuff" but no great picking talent!
