Man o man! Those are a couple of beautiful machines! How does the Benoit sound? How does that shape affect the tone? I've got to say that is the most beautiful resonator I've ever seen!!!!!!!

The Flame 7 has more depth to round out the sound.....4 1/2" which is 1/2" more than Carroll's standard depth......loud, clear, very nice definition, deep tone but not too "boomy", very nice clear bottom string sound....

Congratulations, Howard. I'd love to take that Tricone for a spin someday. _________________ Links to streaming music, websites, YouTube: Links |

Appropriate metaphor. It probably cost more than my car. I've been saving my pennies for one. I have a long way to go. _________________ Amor vincit omnia |

Interesting tuning Howard. As a Travis-style bottlenecking fingerpicker, I've often wished for a 7 string with a low G on the bottom as the root of the 4 chord. As one moves around on the neck, it's difficult to keep a steady bass note on the four chord.
You need a new suit to wear when playing the National (which is incredibly beautiful!)

My interest lies in pushing the boundries, or perceived boundries when it comes to steel guitars.....mostly acoustic.......and hopefully I can continue to work with builders in making these unique steels......perhaps someday, I'd like to produce a CD with my unique resophonics playing (well, competant musicians) a variety of music......
and yes, the guitars are costly.......but so is a bass boat.....
and speaking of Cab Calloway......I'm sure Minnie The Moocher would sound great on non pedal........
