Slyde-Car/ VP mount units, etc - (updated 7/15 )

Post by Dale Hansen »

I have four Slyde-car units available at a discount.
These units were built to use as displays at SG shows, but they are new, not used.
All four of these units are built for D-10's, or SD-10's. These are the standard sized trays for a 7/8 bar.(Silver vein powder coated)

To be a viable candidate, the spread between the legs needs to be no wider than 10 3/4 inches directly under the endplate.

Also, I have a set of volume pedal mounts built for a Carter guitar.(also a demo set, & powder coated)
The Vp mount is a two piece system, as shown below.
If interested, I'd still need to get a couple of measurements on your guitar, to ensure a good fit.

And as always, I'll still build you a custom Slyde-car unit,(2 tray sizes) or VP mounts, and the Pak-Rak (chart holder) too.

Slyde-car

Post by Joe Rouse »

Dale my Friend,
I received my Slyde-car today and am impressed. Fits good and easy to mount, attractive in looks, and I like the dividers that can be moved if need arises.
Also enjoyed our telephone conversation the other day, hope to get to meet you in person this coming July when my bride and I will do some "get out of Texas" traveling.
Once again I am very happy with my Slyde-car and feel it is worth every dollar I spent on it. Take care and see you in July I hope...jr

I love my Slyde-Car. I've got the movable dividers arranged so that they hold my picks upright. I can reach down and stick my fingers and thumb down into the picks and pull my hand back with all three picks in place - one handed. Same way when taking off my picks. I just stick the tips of my fingers and thumb into the Slyde-Car and pull my hand back, leaving the picks in place for the next time I need them.

Great product and it looks to be indestructible. All metal.

Joe,
Thanks a bunch, and I'm so glad that you like it.
I really enjoyed our phone visit too, and look forward to getting together when you come out.
Call, or drop a line anytime you'd like.

Lee,
You're a good pal, I appreciate your frequent plugs here on the Forum. Thanks again.

Sorry about my delay in jumping in here to thank both you guys.
I started getting a little puny Thursday night, with a headcold, and bronchitis, so I haven't been online much.

Dale,

Thank you for making these products.

My volume pedal is rock solid now and it was easy to mount.

The Slyde-car fits both the Emmons and my Carter guitars. My guitar looks clean without bars, pick and wrenches sitting between the necks. Kinda like the feeling I get when I clean out my car!

Thanks again

Thanks Danny,

I'm glad that the VP mounts, and Slyde-car worked out well for you.

I cleaned my truck out once,...several years ago,... so I sorta remember how that feels.

It's yours Ernest,

Thats the last of the four demo units.

I build them to spec upon order, so anybody who still would like one can drop a me line, or call to get one built.

I do also have another set of VP mounts that are finished up, and ready to go. These mounts fit a GFI guitar, so if there's any GFI players out there who'd like to try out this mounting system, give me a shout, I'll give you a real good deal on em'.

I actually still have one more demo Slyde-car unit left.

One of the earlier takers decided that a larger tray unit would work out better for him, so the other one (standard tray unit) will be available again.

No clamps, or screws to mount these. They just hook right onto the guitar.

Yup James, I've got enough cash now to last me the rest of my life.
That is,... as long as I'm dead by Saturday.

Your unit is on the way, shipped today....Mr.Smarty pants.

Mr. Cinney,
It's good to hear from you too. Didn't I send you some "magic dust" as well?... To sprinkle on your guitar, to make it lip smackin' rich with tone,... make your fingers fly, and amaze all onlookers?

Oh well, I'm glad you like the Slyde-car Jim.
On the bright side, you can use it to crease someones noggin, if they say something insulting about your playing.

Drop me an E-mail Chris. Not trying to hide, I'm just not real sure if it's o.k. with b0b to post pricing on new items in here.

I don't want to break any rule here.
Better yet, I'll just send you one now, with all of the info.

Thanks for your interest.

This week I've had some calls, and even as dense as I can be at times, they tipped me off that I may have inadvertently given a few guys the wrong impression that once these four demo's were gone, that was all there would be.

Not so. I'm still building them, upon order, and also the VP mounts, and Pak-Raks. You can still get one custom made for your guitar by contacting me by email or phone.

Thanks,
