Austin @ TSGA Dallas
As a person that has the distinct pleasure of working with 98% of the Steel players that crossed the stage last week end.. I just want to say to Austin
"WOW,WHAT A SHOW".
Son, you are knockin' me out everytime you get up on stage. It seems it is all really coming together for you. And at 14 that is saying a lot. And you are such a good 'person' NOT kid anymore.. HA !
We love you and ALL of your family.
KEEP UP THE HARD WORK - I feel it will most definatly pay off "big" for you someday.
I think Ms. Donna would say "After College." HA !
I'm proud to have had the pleasure of watching you grow thus far. And looking forward to future shows with you.

Thank you everyone for your nice comments about Austin.
Paul, this will mean a lot to Austin to have you speak well of him. He loves to be on stage with you and Roy. As a mother, I worry about wheather other band members want to work with him or not, so it's nice to hear he is doing okay and not driving you guys crazy. You and Dee mean so much to us. We appreciate your friendship.
Mike, thanks for making Austin feel welcome in the Mullen room. It helps him to play well at the shows, when he has a place to warm up all weekend. He is proud of his new G2!

This young man is fast becoming a "giant" in the steel guitar world. It has also been my pleasure to have worked along side of him many times as he has grown into a super talent. I know that his mom and dad and grandparents are very, very proud of him as well they should be. It is such a pleasure to watch his progression between each show that I am previliged to work with him. I suppose I could go on and on about Austin, but those of you that have heard him know where I'm coming from. What wonderful families the Stewart's and Newberry's are and they mean so very much to me and Barbara.
We love all of you.

Thanks Roy, Paul and everyone for all the kinds words about Austin and all the family. We are always glad for the shows that Roy and Paul are playing with us. They are GREAT players themselves and help Austin a lot. they were on stage the first time Austin played ( almost 8 years now )and have been there for most of his shows watching him grow. Didn't know then how close our family's would be, but it is a nice feeling to know when a show is coming up that we will be seeing another part of our FAMILY!!!!! We love you all lots.

I agree with everything that is said about Austin. He is getting better in leaps and bounds and he is a favorite player and friend. I can't even emagine what he'll be like at his very best but I know he will go far. We love him a lot... Buck & Mitzi

I too have become a big "Austin" fan in recent years. His abilities in getting good tone, playing with the right touch and feel, and choosing the right material only ratifies what a good player he is. I feel the future of steel guitar would be in good hands if other young steel players would follow the lead of Mr. Austin Stewart. The entire Newberry/Stewart family have a lot to be proud of. I feel very fortunate to have them as my friends and wish only the best for Austin's future success.

Austin has been with us at Gospel Steel since he was 8, I believe, and we have seen him progress across the years into a fine player. He will be here again this year in Nashville. I just want to say also what a great job Jerry has done in training Austin and show him how to do it. Way to go Grandpa. You have every right to be proud of him. We need more parents and grand-parents supporting their kids the way this family has done.

I got to spend some time with Austin at the Dallas show and he is extremely mature for 14. Loves his country music and pedal steel.
I keep trying to discourage his bass playing. Ben and I don't need anymore competition.
Great player and a great person.

My wife and I have had the pleasure of watching Austin grow and mature, not only as a player but more importantly, as a polite young man ! He has had great guidance with wonderful and caring parents and grand parents and it's paying off big time now -- This is a picture from TSGA Grandpa Jerry's set -
Sorry to have to miss Austin's set at Dallas but we get to hear him and another young protege at most of our Branson meetings and shows. These two young men are a constant source of pleasure for us all -- Austin and Tyler "The Kid" Hall.
