Rebar rusts and they knew this in 1919.
Heck, Flanders fields were FILLed with rusting bars.

This picture goes to show:
NEVER let abject fashion victims
determine your housing status.
You will inevitably end up with...
you guessed it.

NOTHING!

Hush as you read this. I used to work for the Birmingham City Council.  That's me in the back row under the RM in Birmingham. These weren't the people responsible for housing decisions: they were the Chess Team... we had just won the league that year. :D

Working in the Audit Office of the City Treasurer's Dept., you pretty well had to wear a dark suit, white shirt and sober tie every day. Now I live in California I only wear ties at weddings and funerals. :D

A Pilot flying an American Air Lines Boeing 747 was flying into Germany’s Frankford Airport.

He had the placards of the landing strips and their numbers but was not sure of the right one to touch down on

When the Pilot call the control tower for help on his approach to the run way

The tower got very snotie and said.

“ What is the mater are you new at this have you not ever flown into Frankford before. “

The Pilot said.

“ No I am not new at this I have flown into Frankford many times in 1943 on a Boeing Aircraft I never bothered to land “

That's worse than a hole in the middle of the Forum...

Not to mention the one month hole in this tab. Do you realise that from the second week in February to the second week in March, what was written on this subject was...

NOTHING

Nothing for a month?

Now that's really something! (Or is it nothing?)

No thong for a month would be something...

I'm typing this wearing nothing. Yes, folks, it's another first for the Forum; the first ever fully frontal fully naked post.

Yes, I'm letting it all hang out, as we used to say in the 60s.

...or was that something about holding your own ? :whoa:

I guess things dim with the passage of time. :(

Who will be the first to streak across the Forum?

I'm not going to read through all twenty some odd pages of this to find out. But it would be a crime if a great Gershwin tune didn't get mentioned here. To wit:

"I've got Plenty of Nothin' (and nothin's plenty for me)"

Hey, the timing for it is pretty good too, eh?

Because I'd Nothing to do I searched and on Page 9 of this thread is :-
ELLA FITZGERALD
I Got Plenty O' Nuttin

I got plenty of nothing
And nothing's plenty for me
I got no car - got no mule
I got no misery

Folks with plenty of plenty
They've got a lock on the door
Afraid somebody's gonna rob 'em
While their out (a) making more - what for

I got no lock on the door - that's no way to be
They can steal the rug from the floor - that's ok with me
'cause the things that I prize - like the stars in the skies - are all free

I got plenty of nothing
And nothing's plenty for me
I got my gal - got my song
(I) got heaven the whole day long

- got my gal - got my love - got my song
Got my Steel Guitar
