New Youtube Video

Post by mtulbert »

Hi Group,

Decided to jump in on the You Tube thing but a little differently. Normally the sound is fair to poor and I wanted to try to have the possible sound possible ( Considering the source of course!!!).

This is a video that I did with my camera and recorded the audio through my audio rig and then synched them together.

Let me know what you guys think.

Here is the link

Regards,

Mark.

PS The youtube name "Zummaster" is a gag with my wife who is really into yoga and thought that this was close to Zen Master.

What's your recording chain? Is that an Avalon I spy in the pic... are you using that?

Dynamite sound! The song was way too short....

Tell me, how did you sync the audio and video?

Thanks Guys.

Bent

I set up the camera and I use Adobe audition to record the track while I play.

I then import the avi file into Ulead Video Studio and separate out the audio and the video from the camera. Then import the audio from Adobe and get the starts at the same point and viola!!!. It is not frame accurate by any stretch of the imagination. I have SMPTE ability with all the audio stuff, but not with the video from my camera, but for this it is close enough IMHO.

Bill..

You are right. I am using the Avalon. A friend of mine built a rack system for his steel and it sounded terrific. I already have the Revelation, but felt that the Avalon could serve dual purpose for vocals and instruments in the studio. I thought of using it on gigs, but the Rev is much easier to use and the sound of the two pre-amps with my steel is really close.

I will do more...This was just the first to see if it would work.

Regards,

Mark T.

Mark,

Very nice but way too short.

Hi Mark...That Zum of yours looks real familiar, I had one exactly like it a while back...but it found a new home...it sure plays sweet don't it...your sounding really good, just make it a little longer like Dick said...Take care and "Keep on Pickin"...Brian 8)

Hey Mark,

Way to go. I agree 100% with the above comments.
Let's hear more of your playing. I hope you will include some tunes on the C-6th neck as well.

Hey Mark, That sounds real nice. It actually looks like you recorded it live "on camera". Great job syncing it together.
