Bill, I agree--we're picking nits here.

Stephen, what is a D7+4? What is the added note? I use a lot of chords but don't always know their names.

The 4th of D is a G note,which resolves to F#, which is the 3rd of the D scale.

G,C,D is a very common chord progression...I play the weird G chord with the extra note because it allows me to go to my weird C chord (I almost never play a trad C chord) and then to D without ever having to lift that finger off the B string. Now its become habit and takes a real effort to play a real G or C chord.
