I keep hearing that some speakers in the session 400 are a better than others. Do I have the good one here?

Bo, your speaker is a later version Black Widow, as found in the Nashville 400. The earliest Session 400's used a JBL speaker, later they used the Black
Widow with the spider wed on the magnet. Some say the early JBL speaker was the best, although it was more fragile than the Black Widows. I have a Session 400 and two LTD 400's with the spider web speakers, they sound fine to me. |

Thanks for the info Bill. Just purchased this amp and I just wondered about the speaker. I have a session 500 and this 400 doesn't sound anything like it. My Nashville 400 sounds the same as my Vegas 400 so I thought the sessions would sound the same. |

James...I bought it and played a little on the guys steel on it and it sound good but I haven't got to mess with it much since I brought it home. I bought a Fender Hot Rod Deville with 2 12s at the same time and it turned out to be a killer steel amp and I going to start using it on my gigs. I never thought I would be able to stand a 12in speaker with the steel but this one mad a liar out of me. It weighs a ton. |
