Two for sale: Sierra and Carter U12 's

Post by Clarence Wilson »

Last night, I came to the conclusion to sell 2 of my U 12 guitars.

1. A Sierra U12 which I purchased off the forum on 2/07. There was

some damage when I received it. There fore I must take some loss on

it. The damage amounted to a piece of mica cracked off near the

pickup, which I've since glued back on. One of the pins, which the

pickup slides upon for contact, was broken off. Tom Baker charges 20

bucks for it. The pickup works perfectly well but doesn't have but one

tone without the pin. Otherwise, the guitar is as nearly new as you

can get. Bought in 1995. The owner had never even adjusted the e9th

pedals. It has nine pedals, 5 knee levers. He did not know anything

about the last 6 pedals. I am a Day setup man and can't get along with

the Emmons setup too well.

2. My Carter U12 which is about 5 years old. It has the Day setup from

the Carter folks. It is also 1 inch higher, so good for a taller guy.
They made it that way, no added extensions.

I will soon be 85 years of age 3/12. ART has caught up with me, as far

as the pedals go. Not so much, yet, with the hands, so I can still

play my lap guitars. These guitars ship at a cost of 70.. for the

Sierra and 60 for the Carter

The Sierra cost me 1845., so I can take a 100.00 loss, there. The

Carter will cost about the same, 1900. Both: Plus shipping.

hello Clarence,
first and foremost all the best wishes for your health and for another happy 85 to come... :)

As you are computer savvy, would you please post some pictures of your carter?
It will be shipped with it´s case, right?
How many pedals/levers on your guitar?
Being a newbie, I assume that the only difference of "Day" to "Emmons" setup is the reversion of pedals A anc C, all of the rest beinng the same?
(Maybe you have a copedent to post here?)
Thanks for taking the time...
