I want to see all the steel players in Dallas...
I want to go to Fortworth..
I want to eat BIG steaks..
I want to buy western shirts..
I want to see a rodeo...
I want to meet everyone at the show..
I want my picture taken with Buddy Emmons, Paul Franklin, Doug Jernigan, Russ Hicks, Fred Justice, Larry Sasser, JD Maness and all of you?
I want to see Clay Walker..
I want to see Pearls..
I want to see downtown Dallas..
I want to see a band in the White Elephant..

Has anyone got any idea how I can do all of this from 4.00pm on Thursday (when I hope to get there) till Monday?

I think I will have to take 6 months off work from Coca Colaring and I think still it's not enough time..

I want to be American I think..

FRED.. have you got my order for my tested 240v hilton? DH

Start with 2 expressos and 3 "bennies" (with a day-an-a-half left over). Cool

DH.

On a serious note, you might notice a tendency to "stay in".

It really bugged me on my 4 day trip to Nashville, but I had a rental car, and the traffic was murderous. (I ended up doing about the amount of things you listed, but I don't know how I'd have done it without Bob Knight and Mr Seymour.)

Fight it, and GET OUT of your room, drink a couple cups of coffee, and STAY GONE.

Let me know if you found it a problem.

It reminded me what a "home body" I really am.

Learn to speak "broken spanish-english" and become an "Undocumented American".

You'll have it much better than the rest of us. Everything's free.

Oh, and the "driving on the right side of roads" thing that you might be worrying about.

Don't pay any attention to it.

Nobody really does here.

Wink

David -- you forgot Billy Bobs on your list. I'm arriving a couple of days early and staying over an extra couple of days at the end just to see all the things I want to see.

Hi David,

For starters, just shorten up your sentences, in Texas it's okay to loosen up and say,

I wanta, instead of I want to...

Texans speak their formal type of English.

It's a big Howdy!

I am sure you'll have a blast.

You can do it. You will need some smoke, mirrors and heavy medication, but it can be done.

Get Seymour to drive.

Well here's some information that might help. In the stockyards area of Ft Worth, You can go to Pearls, The White Elephant, Eat a steak, and buy western shirts and they are all within walking distance of each other...and while you are in the area, you can check out the Ernest Tubb Record Shop and tell Jim and A.J. hello for me. Hey David...Like Scott said it can be done, but what a trip you would have "IF" you could squeeze all of this in just 4 days...Maybe you should just move to TEXAS instead and take it real slow and have fun enjoying it all at a Slow Texas Pace...Take care and see you at the Dallas Show...Your Texas Friend...Brian Smile

David it is impossible, it takes me half a day to go round the Bass Pro Shop and the other half to go round Sheplers. And as for Wal Mart if you get a super store that can take forever.
