Goodrich LDR

Post by Kermit Lee »

What is the difference between the Goodrich LDR and the LDR-2 pedals?

Kermit the original LDR had a din/midi type cable port where the 2nd output jack would normally be, which was supposed to power the pedal from the amp --- but the later models, including the LDR2 all have 2 outputs and 2 inputs !

Kermit, there was also another difference.
The LDR has only 1 light and the LDR2 has 2 lights. This means that if one light on the LDR2 fails, you can still operate the pedal.
Also the LDR2 came out with a sun shield. The original LDR's would not work in the bright sun light.

I have one of each and they are both great.

Low-profile LDR

When is the low-profile pedal going to be ready for the market? Anyone know?

Don't think the LDR is being made right now.

Yep, sadly the LDR is history. Ollie's dad was the one that built these. When he passed away, Ollie was so busy still building pot pedals and other items, that he discontinued the LDR.
