Any body know how to get to this forum now? The link goes to YuKu. From there I can't find the board.

This site has been shutdown.
Larry Fout has started up a replacement.
It's called "Gospel Steel Guitar Forum".
You can find it at:

Actually Larry started the new site before I shut the old one down. There's no need for two of them so close in nature, and so to avoid splitting the traffic, which wasn't all that huge to begin with, I closed it.
Larry has got a really nice site going, and I would ask that everyone get behind him with their support.

Hi Ron. Yes, it has been a while since we spoke last. If it's the video I'm thinking of, yes that was me on steel. It was actually recorded at a small local Christian television station a few years back. We did a live program, so there was no editing and no chance to fix the trainwrecks before they hit the air!

Lem:
Is the site primarily one for the appreciation of gospel music, or is it a religious site ? This may seem a silly question to some, but, as an agnostic who loves gospel music, I have much too much respect for Jesus than to become involved in Chrisitianity.

Alan,my believe is that this forum covers both issues.Gospel as well as Christianity.I have been a member of this forum for some time now and I like it.Lot's of useful pointers and tips are to be found on this forum.
Erv has his own section there that covers questions about tabs.A lot of pickers would gain on this forum.

Alan, with all due respect. The Christian steel forum, is a christian site. It is [suppose] to be a site for fellowship of christians who happen to play steel guitar. Being agnostic as you are, i can only give you [my] personal opinion. I don't think you could make it past the membership requirments, but if you did, i would stick to the steel sections and leave it at that. As Lem said traffic is spares on that site anymore nowdays. The humor section can be amusing at times, once in a great while they might have a topic on steel guitar worth reading. And there are no tabs on site. But other then that, i just couldn't recommend it for a non christian. JMODHO

Archie...i and lillie and cass all three cried and prayed because of the rude disrespectful treatment you recieved on that board. If that was a christian example of understanding and love, then i would want no part of christianity either, and i can see exactly where Alan gets his attitude.
Archie,
They just don't know how to treat an atheist on a Christian site, what a shame!
And you can't even pray to anyone about it
If i may be so blunt, it is a shame. I wish one of the 10 commandments would be to treat non believers as friends and teach, love and show compassion to them. This is exactly the type of "You're Going To Hell..so to hell with you" attitude that give christians a bad name. yes it is a shame that [christians] do not know how to show love, understanding, friendship to those outside "The Fold". Archie, christianity does not need anymore [christians] like those that don't live by example of how christ expects us to behave and show understanding, love and friendship, and most of all respect to others. I'm not judging, just simply expressing an observation. If we left it up to the erv niehaus's of the world to shine with christian example and understanding, love and compassion, i would be the first one to go import a few lions and build a den.......... again JMODHO
