STEEL GUITAR QUICK TEST 10 being Perfect Score

I would like to take this time to thank all of you that help me jump start this web site. We had 1300 visits in Jan. And the club got some new members. That's a "Good Thing"

Web sites do a good job helping clubs to be known and can be fun.

So Thanks for taking the dumb test at the bottom of the "LINKS" page and be sure to read all of the Test on Internet box.

page at: www.LouisvilleSteelGuitar.com

PS: Squirrelie said "Hi Ya'll"

Steel Guitar Test

Post by Bill Napier »

@$%#*&! Just received the following security warning and INSULT:

"Your system has determined that you do not have enough experience with your (new) computer, (my 5th since '87), to take this test written by others who do not know how to write tests. You could compromise your computer by entering this site,"... or something to that effect.

This is getting scary, when the computers start telling us whether we are smart or dumb.

Did I ask the computer for its opinion? No! Did I tell the computer it is a dumb a**?!! No.

How long will it be before our ps guitars start telling us we are too dumb to play them? Shucks, in my case, I already figured that one out.

And since many of you bombed the test, with all your years of experience and knowledge, I just logged back out of the test area.

Why argue with a computer?!

Danny, I found the test to be very funny and a jab at the goofball computer world with all it's imperfections. Perhaps some people took it more seriously than it was intended.

I don't mean to make light of Bill's post either as what one sees as humorous, another might not.

No offense here because I know you were just funnin! ;-) Sometimes humor is difficult to convey through text alone.

My Dry Scottish Humor

Post by Bill Napier »

Danny,

I apologize to you and other readers, if I gave the impression I was upset. My dry Scottish humor can come across as criticism, when in reality it is just tongue-in-cheek humor on my part.

I was not upset with your test, or my computer. I was just passing along a strange computer event that I experienced with my latest computer, while trying to access your quiz.

I had never had a computer to text me and tell me it had found me too dumb to take a test. :D Even more amazing, my pc texted its' opinion that the test writer was inept as well. (Just shows how "dumb" the computer is)!! Kinda smacks of "Hal" the computer in the movie, "2001, Space Odyssey."

I did have my reservations, attempting to enter and take the test, since several veterans of the pedal steel mentioned that they had bombed the test. I felt that I would probably score maximum negative points with my limited experience and knowledge.

Of course I am honored to, and will, visit your great website, often!

Again, my apologizes.

That's a relief, as I said, it was not my intent to insult or up set anyone. it was all meant in fun.
768 has try the test.
And we have had 2353 visitors from Jan, 1 to now (Feb. 16), which was a big help to get the site up the searches like Google, Thanks to everyone on the Forum for the help.

Hope to meet you over a cup of coffee some day Bill.
