Mel Street was one of my favorites too Terry.....here's another one. Sounds like Hal Rugg on steel to me.

That sure brings back a lot of memories...back in the early 70s we would watch Mel Street live on WHIS TV from Bluefield WV every monday night. Mel grew up about forty miles from where I lived in southwest Virginia. On his live TV brodcast his band was called the Swing Kings and the pedal steel guitarist then was Buddy Pennington and Buddy's trademark was a toothpick he always chewed on while he was playing. Along about 1986 I did some steel playing in the bluefield area and got a chance to work with the fiddle player Ray Morgan who did the TV show with Mel. Thanks for posting the videos Terry.
